A Russian soldier who deserted the frontline was captured on video being beaten with a sex toy and forced to wear a pink dress as punishment. The footage shows a commander confronting the deserter in a pit, wielding a dildo and shouting abuse.
Commander's Rage
In the video, the commander asks the cowering soldier, who is dressed in a pink flowery dress, why he ran from his position. The soldier replies that he was wounded, but the commander dismisses it, saying it's just a scratch. He then threatens the soldier with a 'meat assault' the next morning, telling him he will charge in the dress.
Brutal Tactics
The commander also forces the soldier to dig his own grave while wearing the dress. Another video shows a different soldier being wrapped in plastic film and hung upside down from a tree, while his commander punches and slaps him. These tactics are reportedly used to enforce discipline on a frontline where tens of thousands of Russian troops die each month.
Forced Recruitment
The punishment comes amid accusations that Russian authorities are using armed thugs to drag men off the streets and force them into the war. With an estimated 30,000 to 40,000 Russian troops dying every month, and 42,860 casualties in July alone, according to the Ukrainian General Staff, reluctant civilians are reportedly being beaten until they sign enlistment papers.
