Avon and Somerset Police have released CCTV images in an appeal to identify a rapist who attacked a teenage girl in Bristol city centre. The incident occurred near College Green on 26 June 2021.
Detectives are seeking to identify a teenage boy suspected of the attack, as well as two potential witnesses captured on camera nearby. The victim was separated from her friends by the suspect before being assaulted in an alleyway.
Detective Constable Toby Hayes described the offence as 'truly awful' and praised the victim's bravery. He stated that police had avoided publicising the incident to protect those involved due to their ages, but now require public assistance.
The images show a young man dressed in black, an adult, and a young child. Police believe the adult and child may have witnessed part of the incident. The victim and her family have been offered specialist support.
