A substantial police cordon was established on Fitzhamon Embankment, near the iconic Principality Stadium, following the incident reported shortly after 7:15 PM. The area remained closed to the public throughout Wednesday as forensic specialists conducted a meticulous examination of the scene.
An eyewitness reported a notable police presence, including multiple vehicles and officers securing the perimeter. The nature of the item found in the river has not been officially disclosed by authorities, who are treating the discovery with the utmost seriousness.
