Police in Tulsa, Oklahoma, are searching for a man accused of smearing faeces on the walls of a shopping centre while wearing only a thong, a mask and a shower cap. The individual is also alleged to have exposed himself and defecated into a bag while being filmed.
CCTV captures the suspect in action
The Tulsa Police Department was first alerted to the "serial defecator" on Wednesday, August 19, when they received a call about "an ongoing situation involving a mostly naked man terrorizing local businesses" near 81st and Harvard in Tulsa.
A business owner at the shopping centre reported that the man had previously been defecating into a dog waste bag and smearing it on the walls and doors of the business. The anonymous owner installed security cameras to try to catch the persistent pooper, and the surveillance reportedly worked.
Police unable to track him down
In the video, the man exposes himself to the camera and then defecates into a doggie bag, according to a police spokesman. The individual was wearing "only a thong, a cut-open mask, and a shower cap," and footage also appears to show him wearing a pair of crocs shoes.
Despite the video evidence, officers have so far been unable to catch the man. Police said: "officers have responded to the area on multiple occasions, but have yet to track him down." They have warned that the serial defecator may strike again, and that finding him is the only way to "relieve business owners."
Appeal for information
It is not known if any other businesses have been targeted. Police are appealing for information and have asked people to contact Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS, noting that callers can remain anonymous. They referenced case 2026-038363.
