Police have been called to reports of a disturbance on the M74 motorway near Lesmahagow. Officers are currently at the scene between junctions 10 and 11.

The incident was reported to Police Scotland at around 1pm on Sunday, 2 August 2026. It is not yet known whether anyone has been injured.
Police have confirmed that inquiries are ongoing and that the road remains open.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1pm on Sunday, 2 August, 2026, we received a report of a disturbance on the M74 between junctions 10 and 11 near Lesmahagow. Emergency services are in attendance and enquiries are ongoing.“The road remains open at this time.”
