Newcastle United defender Amar Dedic was involved in a police operation on Wednesday after a member of the public reported seeing two men carrying a bow and arrows near a reservoir outside the city.
The 24-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international was stopped in a vehicle with a friend in the Darras Hall area, and officers seized a bow and arrows. Police later concluded the weapon was for recreational use and that there was no threat to the public, though inquiries are continuing.
