A teenage girl who went missing from a park in Tameside 17 days ago travelled to Piccadilly Gardens by bus, Greater Manchester Police has confirmed.
Jessica, 16, was last seen at Granada Park, in Denton, at 7.15pm on Thursday, July 16. In a major update issued today (August 2), police said she was then seen getting off a bus at Piccadilly Gardens at 8.25pm that night. She had boarded the bus from the Windsor Road area of Denton.
A new CCTV image showing Jessica on a bus has also been shared by the force this morning.
High-risk missing person
Police previously disclosed that Jessica had no access to a phone or money. She has been classed as a 'high-risk' missing person, with multiple appeals to find her issued in recent days.
GMP has now shared two images showing what Jessica was wearing on July 16, including a black zip-up top. She could also be seen carrying one bag on the bus and two in the first CCTV image.
Appeal to the public
Anyone with information that could help police find Jessica is urged to come forward as soon as possible.
A GMP spokesperson said: "We are desperately doing everything we can to locate Jessica (16) who has been missing from Tameside since Thursday, July 16 2026. She was last seen getting off a bus at Piccadilly Gardens at around 8.25pm on July 16, 2026, having travelled from the Windsor Road area of Denton.
"We and her family are incredibly concerned about her and want to make sure she is safe and well. If you are out and about, please keep your eyes peeled for Jessica, and any information anyone has about her whereabouts or saw her on the bus that evening, should contact police on 0161 856 9325 quoting reference number MSP/06GG/0001262/26.
"We have also launched a public portal for anyone with any information including CCTV, mobile phone or Dashcam footage, to submit in the hope that anything we can gather as much information as we can which will help us locate Jessica and bring her home safely. Information can be submitted here."
