Lancashire Police are investigating after footage emerged on social media showing a naked man wearing a black mask and trainers walking along a residential street in Lytham.
The video, which has been widely shared online, is understood to have been filmed in the area of Westby Street, Cleveland Road and Bannister Street. The man is seen wearing only the mask and a pair of black-and-white trainers.
Officers confirmed the incident took place at approximately 12.50am on 18 July, contrary to claims on a recent anonymous Facebook post that it occurred on 31 July. The matter was not initially reported to police and came to their attention after the footage was viewed on Facebook.
A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: “We are aware of a concerning video circulating on social media of a naked male wearing a face covering walking around Lytham in the early hours of the morning.”
Fylde Rural Task Force is conducting CCTV and house-to-house inquiries. Police have urged anyone with information or relevant CCTV to contact them via email at FyldeRTF@lancashire.police.uk.
