A courageous musician turned an ordinary water bottle into an extraordinary weapon of self-defence when two intruders forced their way into his Westminster home in a terrifying late-night attack.

"I grabbed the nearest thing I could find - my Owala water bottle - and just started swinging," the musician later recounted to authorities. "In that moment, it wasn't a water bottle anymore. It was my only defence."
