Murder Probe After Man Found Dead in South London Home

Metropolitan Police detectives have opened a murder inquiry following the discovery of a man's body at a property in Croydon, South London. Emergency services were called to the residential address on Sunday, 21st July, but despite the efforts of paramedics, the man, believed to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A crime scene remains in place as forensic officers conduct a meticulous examination of the area. Homicide detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation and are pursuing several active lines of enquiry.

Appeal for Information

Investigators are now making a direct appeal to the public for assistance. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson stated: "We are urging anyone with information, or anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the vicinity, to come forward immediately."

Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in the local area during the afternoon and evening of Sunday, 21st July. Any detail, no matter how small it may seem, could be vital to the progress of the case.
