Mum Dies in Bathroom Giving Birth to Daughter

A young mother who police believe died while giving birth to a baby girl at a house in Ireland has been identified. Monika Kubasiewicz, 33, a Polish national, had been living at a residence in Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary, for only a few months before her tragic death early on Friday.

Discovery of the Bodies

Her body and that of her newborn daughter were discovered by her devastated partner in the bathroom of their home at Blackthorn Close, Greenhill Village, around 1pm. However, investigators believe they had died several hours earlier.

Post-Mortem and Investigation

A post-mortem examination was conducted on the young mother on Friday. Gardai have stated they are satisfied there was no foul play involved in her death. Officers also believe the newborn baby died during the birthing process, but they are awaiting the results of a post-mortem scheduled for later this week.
