More than 100 people have reportedly joined the search for a missing three-year-old boy in Suffolk, with police warning he will not respond to his name being called. Noah was last seen at around 3pm on Tuesday afternoon (September 15) in Brantham.
Search operation under way
It is believed Noah ran off down an alleyway into a newbuild housing estate after visiting the playground in Merriam Close, Brantham. Officers have mounted an extensive search, deploying a helicopter and carrying out door-to-door enquiries. More than 100 people have also taken part in the search, although police have warned he will not respond to his name being called, according to the BBC.
Noah is described as white, with curly ginger hair, and was wearing a Bluey t-shirt, shorts and white trainers at the time. Officers have also confirmed he is non-verbal, partially deaf and autistic.
Police thank public for support
In a fresh update late on Tuesday evening, a police spokesperson expressed gratitude for the public's support. Responding to the original Facebook post announcing the search, a spokesperson for Suffolk Constabulary said: "Thank you all for your comments, it is overwhelming to read the support people are offering."
"I apologise that we haven't been able to reply sooner however I am sure you appreciate the volume of resources that are assisting with this and the sheer volume of contact from the public that our staff and officers are dealing with. As soon as there is any update, we will post on here. Thank you again."
Coastguard assisting and how to help
A spokesperson for HM Coastguard said: "We are assisting Suffolk Constabulary with an incident at Brantham by sending an HM Coastguard helicopter and Coastguard Rescue Teams from Felixstowe and Holbrook."
