
Suffolk Police have launched a manhunt after a masked robber raided a shop in Ipswich, making off with cash and cigarettes in a brazen daylight theft.
The incident, captured on CCTV, shows a hooded suspect entering the store on Fore Street before threatening staff and fleeing with stolen goods.
Details of the Robbery
According to authorities, the robbery occurred at approximately 3:30 PM on Tuesday. The suspect, whose face was partially concealed, demanded cash from the till before grabbing several packs of cigarettes.
Detectives have described the robber as:
- A white male, around 5'10" tall
- Wearing a dark hooded jacket and gloves
- Possibly in his late 20s or early 30s
Police Appeal for Information
Investigators are urging anyone who recognises the individual from the CCTV footage or has information about the crime to come forward.
"This was a frightening experience for the shop staff," said Detective Constable Sarah Ellis. "We're particularly interested in speaking to anyone who saw suspicious activity in the Fore Street area around the time of the incident."
