A manhunt is underway following reports of a shooting in a remote village in south Wales. Police rushed to the scene in the Laleston area of Bridgend shortly before 8pm on Monday evening, with the police helicopter spotted circling over the town.

A man is said to have suffered minor injuries during the incident. A police spokesperson confirmed officers were responding to reports of a shooting.
Arrest Made
A 29-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of affray and being in possession of an air weapon with intent to endanger life, but police are still hunting for a second suspect believed to be involved. She remains in police custody.

A police spokesperson said: "South Wales Police was called at 7.55pm on Tuesday, August 4, to reports of a shooting at an address in Laleston, Bridgend."
"A 29-year-old woman from Bridgend has been arrested on suspicion of affray and being in possession of an air weapon with intent to endanger life and remains in police custody."
