Police have launched an investigation after the body of a man was discovered inside a Travelodge hotel room in Cornwall.
Body Discovered Following Welfare Concern
Officers were called to the Travelodge in St Austell on Monday, 13th January 2026, following reports expressing concern for the welfare of a guest. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of a man inside one of the rooms.
Devon and Cornwall Police have since confirmed that the deceased was a man in his 60s. While the death is not currently being treated as suspicious, a file is being prepared for the coroner. The man's next of kin have been informed.
