A man has lost his life and four other individuals remain in critical condition following an alleged shooting incident in Sydney's southwest overnight.
The victim, believed to be in his 20s, succumbed to his injuries at Liverpool Hospital shortly after arriving with multiple wounds. Formal identification is pending.
New South Wales Police reported that officers were summoned to Liverpool Hospital around 8:30 PM on Tuesday after receiving reports that two men had presented with multiple injuries. One of the men received medical treatment but died a short time later, authorities stated. The other man remains hospitalized in a stable condition.
At approximately 8:30 PM, two men arrived at Fairfield Hospital in a critical state and are currently receiving treatment. Around 9:50 PM, a man believed to be 19 years old appeared at Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition, where he is being treated for his injuries.
Police have established a crime scene at a residence in Canley Heights. Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command, with assistance from the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad, have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding these incidents. No further information is available at this time.
