A Washington man died after striking another vehicle while performing wheelies on a stolen motorcycle, according to police. The unidentified 57-year-old driver from Rendon was traveling through Kent, near Seattle, on 104th Avenue around 5 p.m. Thursday when the crash occurred.

Crash Details

Witnesses reported that the man was 'popping wheelies' while traveling northbound at high speed, police said. After turning left onto 236th Place, the motorcyclist collided with a car. The man sustained 'significant injuries' and life-saving efforts were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigation Ongoing

The man's identity has not been released, and the investigation remains active. The other driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Police confirmed the motorcycle was stolen, though its owner is unknown.

Photos from the crash scene, obtained by KOMO News, showed the motorcycle shattered into numerous pieces. The white SUV he struck sustained significant damage to the front passenger-side bumper, with part of the grill and headlight torn off and a dislocated tire.
