Harrowing CCTV footage has emerged showing a man carrying out a brutal daylight attack on a 72-year-old woman in what police are describing as a "cowardly and despicable" robbery.
The disturbing incident, captured on security cameras, shows the attacker approaching his elderly victim from behind before violently pushing her to the ground in the middle of the street.
Brazen Daylight Assault
In the shocking footage, the assailant can be seen striding purposefully toward the pensioner before delivering a powerful shove that sends her sprawling onto the pavement. The force of the impact is clearly visible as the woman falls helplessly forward, unable to break her fall.
While the victim lies stunned and injured on the ground, the robber coldly snatches her handbag and makes his escape, leaving the elderly woman to fend for herself.
