A man has been arrested on suspicion of threatening Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor near his new residence on the Sandringham Estate, according to Norfolk Police. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening when the former Duke of York was walking his dogs.
Incident Details
According to The Telegraph, a man wearing a balaclava was sitting in a car when he allegedly spotted Andrew approximately 50 yards away. The individual then exited the vehicle and approached the disgraced former prince while shouting at him in an intimidating manner.
Norfolk Police stated: “Officers were called to Wolferton shortly after 7.30pm yesterday (Wednesday May 6 2026) following a report a man was behaving in an intimidating manner in the village. Officers attended, and the man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and possession of an offensive weapon. He was taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning and remains in custody.”
