A man has been arrested after a taxi was driven into a house in Toxteth. At around 6.45am on Tuesday, August 4, police received a report that a silver Toyota Corolla had crashed into a house on Asbridge Street.
Arrest and investigation
Pictures taken by the ECHO show damage to the Toyota, which is a taxi. Officers attended and, following enquiries, police believe the man driving was involved in an altercation with another motorist before the crash. He has since left the scene.
A 40-year-old man from Liverpool has been arrested on suspicion of affray and criminal damage. He remains in police custody.
Police appeal
An investigation is in the very early stages to establish the circumstances of what happened and police are looking to speak with the driver who left the scene.
