Victoria Police have launched a large-scale land and water operation in the state's picturesque High Country as the search for missing mother Dezi Freeman enters a critical phase.
The 31-year-old was last seen in the small town of Porepunkah, near Bright, on Sunday afternoon. Her sudden and unexplained disappearance has triggered an intensive response from authorities, with police expressing serious concerns for her welfare.
Major Search Operation Underway
Specialist dive teams have been meticulously scouring the Ovens River, focusing their efforts near a boat ramp where items belonging to Ms. Freeman were discovered. Police have confirmed these findings are a significant line of inquiry in their investigation.
