The M60 motorway is closed clockwise between junctions 5 and 6 due to a police-led incident, causing significant rush hour delays.

National Highways reported that traffic is held on the M60 clockwise between J5 Manchester and J6 Stretford. Current delays are around 30 minutes on approach, with 3 miles of congestion.
Inrix, the traffic data company, said the closure is between J3 A34 Kingsway and J7 A56 Chester Road (Stretford), with congestion extending to just after J1 (Stockport Pyramid). Traffic is also slowing on the opposite carriageway due to onlookers. The A5103 Princess Parkway is stationary heading north on approach to J5.
Impact
Cameras show the road is closed across all junctions for the police incident located between J5 and J6. Trapped traffic is being taken off at J5.
