A significant stretch of the M25 in Hertfordshire has been shut down following a serious collision involving a motorbike, leading to extensive traffic congestion this evening.

The anti-clockwise carriageway is closed between junction 23 (A1M, South Mimms) and junction 22 (St Albans), according to National Highways.
