Burglary Suspect Plunges Through Ceiling onto Florida Restaurant Diners

A burglary suspect dramatically fell through the ceiling of a Florida restaurant, landing among startled diners. Justin Grimes, 30, was crawling through the ceiling of the Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet in Daytona Beach on Tuesday when the ceiling gave way.

Police believe Grimes entered the ceiling via the bathroom and was attempting to reach the office where money is kept. Instead, he crashed into the dining room, leaving a gaping hole and dangling wires.

Diners had reported hearing noises from the ceiling around 6 p.m. The manager checked surveillance footage and found broken ceiling tiles, wires, and a pair of shoes on the floor.
