An influencer who was critically injured in a car crash outside a nightclub in Soho has died. Klaudia Zakrzewska, 32, from Essex, was allegedly hit by a car driven by former X Factor finalist Gabrielle Carrington.
The incident occurred on Argyll Street in the early hours of Sunday, April 19. Two other people were injured, including a 58-year-old security guard who sustained life-changing injuries. The Metropolitan Police confirmed Ms Zakrzewska was pronounced dead on Saturday, April 25.
Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell expressed deepest sympathies to the family and urged the public to refrain from speculation and sharing graphic footage, which could prejudice court proceedings.
Ms Zakrzewska, known online as Klaudiaglam, had over 250,000 Instagram followers. Her mother Kinga described her as 'truly wonderful' and said she 'touched many hearts'.
Carrington, 29, from Manchester, reached the X Factor live finals in 2013 with girl group Miss Dynamix and is also an influencer known as RIELLEUK. She was charged with attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, actual bodily harm, dangerous driving, and drink driving. Following Ms Zakrzewska's death, the charge will be upgraded to murder.
