Nearly two months after the discovery of human remains in a remote woodland in Northumberland, police are still working to identify the person and determine the circumstances of their death. The grim find was made in East Fleetham, near Beadnell, on the evening of August 3.
Northumbria Police launched an investigation immediately after receiving a report at around 9pm. Officers remained at the scene for several days, conducting forensic examinations and searches of the area.
A police spokesman confirmed that inquiries are ongoing, but no further details have been released about the identity of the deceased or any potential suspects. The force has not disclosed whether the death is being treated as suspicious.
