
A young bar worker at one of Manchester's most popular music venues has been found dead in what police are describing as an "unexplained" tragedy.
The 20-year-old employee, who worked at the renowned Gorilla bar and music venue, was discovered unresponsive in staff accommodation on Whitworth Street West on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services rushed to the scene following concerns for the welfare of the young worker. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the location.
