South Australian police have launched an intensive ground and air search operation for 32-year-old Gus Lamont, who vanished from Adelaide's western suburbs under increasingly worrying circumstances.

Lamont was last seen in the suburban area of Seaton on Tuesday evening, sparking immediate concern among family and friends when he failed to make contact. The prolonged silence from the normally communicative man has prompted police to treat his disappearance as highly suspicious.
