Death at Dublin recycling centre treated as suspicious by Garda

Gardaí are treating as suspicious the death of a man whose body was found at a recycling centre in Clondalkin, Dublin, before 1am. Detectives are reportedly investigating whether the man may have been murdered.

Body Discovered at Recycling Centre

The body was discovered at the facility in Clondalkin and remains at the scene while the Garda Technical Bureau conducts a technical examination. The man has not yet been identified, and it is not yet known how he died.

The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified, although a post-mortem has yet to take place. Despite this, a Garda source told The Irish Times the death was being treated as suspicious, and investigating officers believe the man may have been murdered.

Investigation Underway

Garda said it is investigating 'all the circumstances' surrounding the death and has appointed a senior investigating officer to lead the inquiry. An incident room has been established at Ronanstown Garda Station to deal with the investigation.

Local Sinn Féin councillor William Carey told The Irish Times: 'I just feel for the family. My thoughts would go out for any family of any person who's found in those circumstances.'

Appeal for Information

Garda has appealed to anyone who may have information to contact Ronanstown Garda Station, the Garda Confidential Line, or any Garda station.
