Uefa has imposed a lifetime ban from all football-related activity on Petr Vlachovsky, the Czech coach who used a hidden camera to secretly film his female players in their changing rooms. The ban follows his conviction in May 2025 for filming 14 players at FC Slovacko over a four-year period, for which he received a suspended one-year prison sentence and a five-year domestic coaching ban.
The Czech players' union had called for his punishment to be broadened, and on Tuesday Uefa's control, ethics and disciplinary body announced the lifetime ban after an investigation. Uefa has also written to Fifa requesting that the ban be extended globally.
Vlachovsky, who previously coached the Czech under-19 women's national side, was also found in possession of child sexual abuse material. His youngest victim at Slovacko was 17.
Alex Phillips, secretary general of the global players' union Fifpro, described the case in April as 'the tip of the iceberg', noting that players were often unsure how to report concerns. Fifpro welcomed Uefa's ban, stating: 'This outcome sends a strong and necessary message that abusive and inappropriate behaviour has no place in football and that safeguarding the wellbeing of players must remain a priority at every level.'
