Coventry Gang Shooting Caught on Camera

A gangland double shooting has been captured on camera in Coventry, showing a gunman pursuing rivals who flee into a back garden only to be shot. Three men have been arrested following the incident on an estate in Coventry, which left two people injured, including one man fighting for his life in hospital.

The dramatic footage, recorded by a private security camera and a handheld device around 8.30pm on Wednesday, depicts two separate but believed-to-be-connected incidents. In the primary video, taken on the Tile Hill estate, a man wielding a handgun approaches a parked silver car, having arrived with a support vehicle behind him.

Realising the threat, four occupants run into a nearby gated garden to escape. However, the gunman pursues them through the gate, opens fire multiple times, and then flees to a waiting black car, which drives around a corner. The cowering group begins to emerge, only for the gunman to reappear with an accomplice, who removes something from the victims' car before they flee again. The footage is timestamped 8.32pm.

A second, shorter video, filmed nearby at almost the same time, shows a figure dressed in black wielding a large machete, striking a silver car that tries to evade but is blocked by a black car.

A local resident described the scene as 'absolutely terrifying' and 'open gang warfare.' One man was rushed to hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound to his chest, while another suffered less serious injuries.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: 'We arrested three men following a violent disorder involving weapons in the Tile Hill area of Coventry last night. We were called to Robert Moundford Way shortly after 8.30pm.'
