Cher's Son Elijah Allman in Court Over Alleged Home Break-In

Elijah Allman, the son of singer Cher, is due in court on Wednesday over allegations that he broke into a home in Windham, New Hampshire, earlier this month. The 49-year-old, who also faces charges from a separate incident at a prestigious prep school, remains in preventive detention at the Rockingham County Department of Corrections.

Allman was arrested on 1 March after allegedly forcibly entering a home without permission. He faces two counts of criminal mischief, one count of burglary, and a charge of breach of bail. This arrest came just days after he was detained on 27 February for allegedly behaving belligerently at St Paul's School in Concord, where he was charged with four misdemeanours, including simple assault, criminal trespass, and criminal threatening.

It remains unclear whether Allman has any connection to either the school or the home in Windham. He did not respond to a request for comment, and it is not known if he has legal representation.

In December 2023, Cher filed a petition to become a temporary conservator over her son's finances, citing his struggles with mental health and addiction. She expressed concern that any funds distributed to him would be spent on drugs, putting his life at risk. However, a Los Angeles judge denied the request, noting that Allman was attending meetings and receiving treatment.
