Brit tourist, 24, in intensive care after Ibiza hotel plunge

A British holidaymaker is in intensive care after falling from a hotel in Ibiza. The 24-year-old was admitted to Can Misses hospital in the party resort of San Antonio at around midnight, according to health sources.

Sources said the man had suffered multiple traumatic injuries and is in a stable but serious condition. The hotel where the incident occurred has not been named, and the Civil Guard is investigating the circumstances.

A source close to the probe said it was too early to determine exactly what happened. The incident is believed to be the first of its kind this year involving a British tourist in Ibiza.

Last year, a 22-year-old British tourist was seriously injured after plunging from the third floor of the Marco Polo Hotel in San Antonio. That hotel made headlines in June 2023 after a poolside brawl involving English footballer Kian Harratt.

San Antonio saw multiple tourist deaths from hotel falls last summer, including 19-year-old ice hockey star Gary Kelly and 26-year-old Ewan Thomson, both of whom fell from balconies at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel.
