A three-year-old boy was taken to hospital after getting into difficulty in the water at Bryngarw Country Park in Bridgend on Saturday, July 4. Emergency services were called to the park at approximately 2:40pm following reports that a child had entered a body of water and was struggling.
Bystander Performed CPR Before Paramedics Arrived
According to South Wales Police, a member of the public performed CPR on the child before paramedics arrived at the scene. The boy, who is from the Newport area, was subsequently transported to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
Police Investigation Underway
Officers have confirmed that an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing. No further details have been released at this time.
