Body Found on Brighton Beach Weeks After Sisters Drowned

A body has been discovered on Brighton beach, just weeks after three sisters tragically drowned in the same area. Emergency services recovered the body of a man from the sea at 6:40 am on Wednesday morning following reports of concerns for a man in the water.

Sussex Police stated: "At around 6:40 am today, emergency services attended Brighton beach, near to Sea Lanes in Madeira Drive, after concerns were raised for a man in the water. The body of a man was recovered from the sea, and sadly, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. Attempts to identify the man and notify his next of kin remain ongoing. Officers will continue carrying out enquiries in the area, and an increased police presence is expected at this time."

This incident comes just weeks after sisters Jane Adetoro, 36, Christina Walters, 32, and Rebecca Walters, 31, were pulled from the water on May 13, only half a mile away from where the latest body was found. The earlier tragedy had already shaken the local community, and this new discovery has heightened concerns about water safety along the Brighton coast.
