West Midlands Police have launched a murder investigation following a fatal stabbing in broad daylight in Sparkbrook, Birmingham. The victim, a man believed to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene on Walford Road at around 7pm on Tuesday evening, despite efforts to save him.
Police were called to the incident at approximately 6.20pm after reports of an attack. Officers remain at the scene, which has been cordoned off, as they gather CCTV footage and speak to witnesses. No arrests have been made so far.
Detectives are appealing for anyone with information, including mobile phone or dashcam footage from the area at the time, to contact them. Witnesses can call 101, quoting log 4881 of June 4.
