Boy, 11, Critically Ill After Shankill Road Collision

An 11-year-old boy is in a critical condition in hospital following a road collision in Belfast on Saturday evening. The incident occurred on the Shankill Road near the junction with Boundary Street at approximately 7.25pm.

Police have confirmed that a grey BMW X5 and the child, who was a pedestrian, were involved in the collision. A 34-year-old man was arrested at the scene but has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam or mobile phone footage to come forward. They are asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1365 07/03/26.
