BBC's The One Show has announced a schedule change, moving to an earlier time slot next week and cancelling its Friday episode. Presenters Alex Jones and Clara Amfo revealed the news on Friday's show (May 1), confirming the programme will air at 6:30pm on Monday instead of its usual 7pm slot.
The earlier time change is due to a repeat episode of The Marvellous Miniature Workshop airing at 7pm. The episode, hosted by Sara Cox, was first broadcast in December last year. Additionally, The One Show will not air on Friday next week, replaced by election coverage presented by Laura Kuenssberg and Sophie Raworth.
This is part of a series of scheduling changes at the BBC. Gardeners' World moved from BBC Two to BBC Four on Friday to accommodate Snooker World Championships coverage. Question Time also faces a change, with host Fiona Bruce confirming the programme will not air on Thursday due to elections, moving to Friday instead.
