BBC's The One Show has announced a schedule shake-up, with the programme moving to an earlier time slot next week and being absent on Friday due to election coverage.
Earlier Start Time Confirmed
On Friday's episode (May 1), hosts Alex Jones and Clara Amfo revealed that the show will return on Monday at 6:30pm, half an hour earlier than its usual 7pm slot. Clara Amfo told viewers: "We are back on Monday at the earlier time of 6:30. We're going to be joined by some great guests, including Daniel Mays, Greg Davies, Sigourney Weaver and Pedro Pascal. Have a lovely bank holiday weekend."
Friday Night Replacement
The One Show will not air on Friday next week. Instead, BBC will broadcast election coverage presented by Laura Kuenssberg and Sophie Raworth, reflecting on a dramatic day in British politics. In its regular Tuesday slot at 7pm, a repeat of The Marvellous Miniature Workshop hosted by Sara Cox will air, which originally aired in December last year.
Other BBC Schedule Changes
The BBC has faced several scheduling alterations recently. Gardeners' World moved from BBC Two to BBC Four on Friday (May 1) to accommodate Snooker World Championships coverage. Additionally, Fiona Bruce informed Question Time viewers that there will be no episode on Thursday due to the elections. She explained: "We are in London next week for our programme and we are not going to be on air on Thursday. That's the results night for the elections. We are going to be on air on Friday when most of the results will have come in."
The One Show is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
