Australian Dies by Suicide in Ukraine from Lviv City Hall

An Australian man has tragically taken his own life in Ukraine, authorities have confirmed. Emergency services responded to a call at Lviv City Hall, located in the western part of the country, at approximately 8:25 PM on Tuesday following reports of a man falling from the observation deck.

The 42-year-old Australian plunged about 65 metres and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. According to a statement from Lviv City Council, a farewell note was discovered on the observation deck. 'In it, the foreigner apologised for the upcoming mess and urged not to blame anyone for what he did,' the statement read.

Police attended the scene to interview witnesses and determined that the Australian man had climbed the tower 'independently'. The Lviv City Council expressed its condolences to the relatives of the deceased.
