A significant security operation unfolded at Auburn University on Tuesday after authorities received reports of a potential threat, leading to a campus-wide lockdown and the eventual arrest of a student.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office confirmed the apprehension of 22-year-old Jochen Michael Weaver, an Auburn University student, who now faces a serious charge of making a terroristic threat.

The alert was triggered just before 2:30 PM local time, sending the university into a controlled lockdown. Students and faculty received urgent instructions to immediately seek shelter and avoid the area of the Hill residence halls as police investigated the potential threat.
