Armed police, including specialist firearms officers, were called to a car wash on Cardiff Road, Taff's Well, on Sunday morning after reports of an affray involving weapons. Five people have been arrested on suspicion of affray, and no injuries were reported.
South Wales Police was called at around 11.50am. Officers attended the scene, and specialist firearms officers were also in attendance to help ensure the safety of the public and those present, the force said.

South Wales Police said: "South Wales Police was called at around 11:50am today following reports of an affray involving weapons at a car wash on Cardiff Road, Taff’s Well. Officers attended the scene and, due to reports that weapons were involved, specialist firearms officers were also in attendance to help ensure the safety of the public and those present."
Five people have been arrested on suspicion of affray and enquiries are ongoing. No injuries were reported. Police said there is no wider risk to the public at this time, and they would like to reassure residents that those involved have been arrested while enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
