Police have launched an appeal for information after a two-vehicle crash on the A82 near the Falls of Falloch left three people requiring hospital treatment. The incident occurred at around 1.25pm on Tuesday afternoon and involved a green Mini Cooper and a black Yamaha Tracer motorcycle.
Casualties and Hospitalisations
The male rider of the Yamaha was taken to hospital where his condition is described as serious. Two passengers from the Mini Cooper were also taken to hospital but have since been discharged. The 47-year-old male driver of the Mini Cooper was arrested and charged in connection with a road traffic offence; he was released on an undertaking to appear in court at a later date.
Road Closure and Diversion
The A82 was closed for approximately nine hours while police investigated the circumstances of the crash. The road fully reopened to traffic around 10.30pm. During the closure, drivers were forced to take a 50-mile detour via Inveraray, with height restrictions in place along the diversion route.
Police Appeal
Inspector David Marr stated: “Enquiries remain ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us. We’d also ask anyone with dash-cam footage which could assist our enquiries to come forward.” Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1622 of Tuesday, 14 July, 2026.
