A seven-year-old boy has tragically passed away after being thrown from a bouncy castle during a youth football tournament in Belgium. Jean Kylian Essombe, a young football enthusiast, was launched across a field when a sudden gust of wind sent the inflatable structure flying. He reportedly struck a fence and suffered life-threatening injuries.
Emergency services rushed to the scene to provide treatment before transporting him to AZ Sint-Blasius hospital and later to UZ Gent medical facility. Despite doctors' efforts, he succumbed to his injuries just hours later.
Three other children were also injured in the incident and were taken to hospital for medical checks. The tragedy occurred on Saturday, May 9, while Jean was watching his older brother play at the Youth Cup tournament in Hamme, Belgium.
