Greater Manchester has been rocked by the fatal stabbing of a teenage boy in the north of the city, prompting a major police investigation and an outpouring of grief from the local community.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on Lilford Street in the Moston area shortly after 17:30 BST on Wednesday evening. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, a 17-year-old boy was pronounced dead a short time later.
