A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a disturbance that prompted a large emergency response on a quiet Livingston street. Armed police, fire crews, and paramedics converged on Morrison Way around 10:40 pm on Friday, July 10, 2026, after reports of a disturbance.
Police Response and Arrest
Police Scotland confirmed that officers, including armed units, attended the scene. The area was cordoned off while inquiries were conducted. A Police Scotland spokesperson stated: “Around 10.40pm on Friday, 10 July, 2026, we were called to a disturbance on Morrison Way in Livingston. Police, including armed officers, attended. There were no reports of injuries.”
The spokesperson added: “A 23-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He’s due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court on Monday, 13 July.”
Fire Service Involvement
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene. A spokesperson told Edinburgh Live: “We were in attendance at Morrison Way in Livingston on July 10. We received a call at 23.22 to assist Police Scotland with an incident. Crews left the scene at 01.16.”
