Merseyside Police have seized 100kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of £10m from a property in Old Swan, Liverpool. A 53-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
Police Raid and Arrest
Officers from the Liverpool proactive team and Project Medusa executed a warrant at the address on July 8, 2026. The woman, from Liverpool, is currently in custody and will be questioned at a police station on Merseyside.
Project Medusa's Role
Project Medusa is a Merseyside-led initiative targeting county lines drug dealing and child criminal exploitation. Detective Inspector Gary Stratton stated: “This property was used to conceal over 100 kilos of cocaine worth around £10,000,000.”
Second Major Seizure This Week
This marks the second significant class A drug seizure in Merseyside this week. On July 7, 38kg of cocaine worth £2.6m was seized. DI Stratton added: “Organised crime is hugely damaging to our communities, often involving intimidation, violence and creating fear.”
