British Transport Police (BTP) have said a couple wanted over a racially aggravated assault at Bond Street Tube station are believed to have left the UK. The pair have been identified as Melissa Rein Lively, 40, and Philip Ostermann.
The incident occurred at around 7:30pm when a woman with her sister and two young children, one in a pushchair, was entering the station. The couple were walking in front and the woman collided with the pushchair. The man then shouted racial abuse at the family before the woman grabbed the victim's hair.
When the victim tried to defend herself, the man pulled out a small bottle, claimed it was pepper spray, and sprayed it in her direction. The woman also shouted abuse and made lewd gestures before both groups left the scene.
Mr Ostermann is thought to have departed the UK on 14 October, and Ms Rein Lively on 24 October. Officers previously said they believe the pair do not reside in the UK. Ms Rein Lively is the owner of America First PR, an 'anti-woke' firm based in Arizona, while Mr Ostermann is an associate director at private equity firm Aequita.
A BTP spokesperson said: 'We continue efforts to make contact with and speak to them, and from there we will determine the next steps in the investigation. We are in contact with the victim and her family and are keeping them updated regularly as the investigation continues.'
