True crime enthusiasts have been left feeling physically ill after watching a particularly disturbing episode of the documentary series Crime in Progress. The show, which uses raw body cam footage and CCTV to follow real-life investigations in real time, has been hailed as the 'best ever' by viewers.
Episode six, now streaming on Crime + Investigation in the UK, begins with a strong warning that it 'contains disturbing accounts of violence'. The episode focuses on two cases, one of which involves the Cohee family discovering dismembered body parts in their son's wardrobe.
A true crime fan shared their shock on TikTok, saying: 'I thought it couldn't get much worse after episode three with the babies. Imagine going into your kids' wardrobe and finding a plastic bag with a head in it.' Another viewer simply said they felt 'sick'.
Despite the disturbing content, the series has been widely praised. One fan wrote on social media: 'I need 50+ more episodes at least of #CrimeInProgress. It is THE ABSOLUTE BEST TV SHOW EVER.' Another commented: 'Another ABSOLUTELY CRAZY episode of #CrimeInProgress. Where has this show been my entire life???'
The official synopsis describes the series as providing 'a visceral, edge-of-your-seat experience' with 'no reenactments and no narration'. Crime in Progress is available to stream on Crime + Investigation, Prime Video, and Sky Go.
