Four Charged Over Warwickshire Meth Lab Farm

Four more men have been charged in connection with the alleged production of methamphetamine from a farm in rural Warwickshire, following the earlier court appearance of five Mexican nationals. The men are accused of conspiracy to produce the class A drug as part of an investigation into an alleged crime group manufacturing the narcotic at a meth lab on farmland near Furnace End.

Arrests and Court Appearances

Kenneth Burton, from County Durham, Paul Harkness Mawby and Anthony Devine, both from Stockton-on-Tees, all aged 34, and 36-year-old Mohammed Khan, of Birmingham, were arrested on Thursday. National Crime Agency (NCA) officers have been conducting searches in Birmingham and the North East.

Burton, Harkness Mawby, and Devine will appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court today, while Khan, of Lea Road, Sparkhill, will appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court.

Previous Charges Against Mexican Nationals

Five Mexican nationals appeared at Warwick Crown Court on September 10 to deny a charge of conspiracy to produce methamphetamine. Alejandro Ambriz, 45, Victor Ramirez, 47, Fausto Beltran, 33, Lioncio Moso Borja, 37, and 44-year-old Jose Nunez Angolo were arrested by the NCA in mid-August and were told they would face a trial in February next year.

Ambriz is from the Michoacan area of Mexico, while the remaining defendants are from Culiacan in the Sinaloa region of northwest Mexico, the court heard. The investigation continues as the case progresses through the courts.
