The product recall applies to the Babysense Max View Wireless Digital Video Baby Monitor because of a risk of fire. Customers have been instructed to cease using it straight away following the recall by Hisense.

The full statement from the Office for Product Safety and Standards reads: "Product Recall for Babysense Max View Wireless Digital Video Baby Monitor. The parent unit of this product presents a risk of fire as the battery within the unit (model reference YC6048115P) may overheat during charging. Such overheating may escalate into thermal runaway. The product has been recalled from customers by Hisense."

Only serial numbers beginning with 'MVRX' are affected. The serial number can be located on the back of the parent unit (the video monitor display screen). Other models and ASINs are not included in this recall. Listings have been removed by online marketplaces like Amazon.

Product Description

The monitor is a wireless digital video baby monitor consisting of a video monitor display unit (parent unit), a camera (baby unit), and AC power adapters for charging. When both units are switched on, the parent unit shows the video captured by the baby unit. Only serial numbers starting with 'MVRX' are affected.
